Part two - Mc Donald's
I want to share to you guys what is the main reason why I
really want to work at Mc Donald’s. When
I was in 2nd year college, I was in our class then I notice my
classmate who look like tired and stress so I asked her why she look like that
then she told me that she is a working student then we got some conversation
about that after the conversation I just felt that she is so cool because she
can go to school and she can work at the same time.
When I got home I realized that I wanted to have a work just
because I want to be cool like her this kind of thinking just nothing for me
that time I just wanted to try some new things and be look I’m independent that
can stand in my own feet. Then one day
she asked me to apply in their store at Forbes branch it’s near at the UST
hospital; I agreed, that time I don’t know if I will tell it to my parents
because if I will they might not agree about it, but it’s because I really want
to try it I decided to hide it from them. The first time I got an interview at
Mc Donald’s I was so nervous and it is a challenging part of my life I remember
there was a point that I’m memorizing lines that can impress the manager
fortunately I’m hired. I was so happy that day it’s like an achievement in my life.
I got home that time I was so excited because I decided that is the time that I
will tell it to my parents. I opened the door then I told them that I got a job
and you know what their reaction is? Actually I prepared myself to it that they
don’t agree but I told them that I can do it even I’m studying “na parang ganito: Please Ma’Pa pumayag na
kayo” I know that time kasi I’m like a baby to them they’re just scared
but after asking them I got there answer
and it’s a yes!
I got my requirements, medical and all the requirements that
I needed. The first day of training is so fun but I’m quite nervous because
it’s my first job, after the training I need to wait a couple of weeks to get
started but it’s kind of a long waiting so I tried to apply to another branch
at the Binondo branch near in Binondo church; then I got hired too so I ask the
first store that I will not continue to work for them and they allow me naman.
I start very quick at that store and that is the beginning
of my life as a Mc Donald’s Crew. I started as a cashier and it was a tough job
because there’s money involved so I must be alert to the people who have a bad
motive. I remember that there was a manager who is so strict to me but because
of her I became a good individual. Every year there was a store grading, there
was a mystery shopper who will evaluate the store in there service, cleanliness
and standard procedure that time I was the cashier on duty then the I have no
idea that one of my customer is the mystery shopper then after that a weeks ago
they announced that our store is have a passing grade and the mystery shopper
gave me a grade of 100%, I was happy that time and I can’t express my feeling
that time that I serve very well in that job. Working In a fast food restaurant
can help you to improve your attitude, because I’m the kind of person who is
not friendly and a loner but this job helps me to improve my customer relation.
I meet different customer; nice, kind, friendly, strict, demanding, and irate all
this people helps me to work hard.
All these experienced is the things that I will never forget… thanks for reading till next time ☺
